Hope everyone had a great weekend! More college football media Days are upon us this week, including the Big 12 Media Days going on today… But nothing compares to what’s known as SEC Media Days.  A fun time for sure in Hoover last week.

So without further ado, things that stood out during the 3 day media fest:

The picture above is Kentucky head coach Joker Phillips. He had a moment today. When asked about his Quarterback battle, Joker used a… Well… 4 letter statement… He explained that his QB’s will need to not have that oh S*** moment in the pocket… Especially with guys like South Carolina’s Jadeveon Clowney coming off the edge at defensive end… Who would’ve thunk it? A coach using a four letter word… At media days… And we’re not even to John L. Smith or Les Miles yet.

My blog 101,Football Media Days, And acts of Randomness

Happy Monday folks! I wanted to officially post my first blog entry for WAFF sports! Why a blog you may ask? And I say why not! I’ve wanted to do this since the end of the college football season last year, and knew that I would get it up and running as we start the 2012-2013 season.

What will you find on this blog? EVERYTHING. Of course I will focus on what I get paid for and that’s the happenings in sports, but we will have fun with things in pop culture, posted videos and just as I would like to call acts of randomness.

So lets start with today… WAFF’s own Scott Theisen has been down in Birmingham for today’s annual SWAC Media Days, and will have a full rundown of the event tonight at 6 and 10 on WAFF 48 news. Looks Like Alabama A&M will once again have to prove doubters wrong in the SWAC Eastern Division, as Alabama State was picked to finish first in the division. Still the Bulldogs have a number of student athletes picked on the preseason All Conference teams.
